A SLICE OF CAMDEN
A Slice of Camden will be based at the Institute of Archaeology in Gordon Square, WC1H, with visits to the London Archaeological Archive and Research Centre (LAARC) and Platform 1. The week's programme will introduce children to the fascinating world of archaeology, where they will have the unique opportunity to handle objects, learn about documenting and photographing objects, dig down through the layers of Camden's past, learn about the importance of research, understand conservation, try their hand at excavation, and learn what its like to be an archaeologist.

MUMMIFIED
Mummified will be based at the Institute of Archaeology in Gordon Square, WC1H, with visits to the Petrie and British Museum and Platform 1. The week's programme will introduce children to the fascinating world of Egyptology, where they will have the unique opportunity to handle objects, learn about Mummification, the domestic life of an Egyptian, learn about Hieroglyphics, make an Egyptian bracelet, learn about the importance of research, understand conservation, and learn about the importance of animals to Egyptian society

BUILDING DETECTIVES
Building Detectives will be based at the Georgian Group in Fitzroy Square, W1, with visits to the Sir John Soanes and the Foundling Museums. The Project will focus on post-medieval archaeology, adopting a detection theme, where children will act as detectives to explore and unravel 8th century society, life and architecture. They will have a unique opportunity to discover the skills of historic house builders, and will find out more about the history of Georgian buildings in a range of practical and hands-on ways, by handling old materials, printing and through games, and by practising the skills of plaster moulding and brick making.

SPLASH
Offering young people an underwater look at archaeology, this project is delivered by the London School of Diving and Nautical Archaeological Society at Fort Cumberland. Participants will learn the technical basics of scuba diving, learning how to carry out underwater tasks and finally trying out underwater archaeology with the simulation of retrieving an underwater object

YOUNG ARCHAEOLOGISTS CLUB
With the support of the Institute of Archaeology, to discover the wonders of archaeology, children and young people have the opportunity to attend an all the year round hands on archaeology club.
